About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Program Coordinator to join our non-profit
organization. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing our
workforce development programs ensuring they align with our organization's mission. Your
responsibilities will include program delivery, training, facilitation, administration, and other
assigned project support tasks. Your ability to take initiative, think critically, and solve
problems will be vital in driving the success and impact of these projects.
Reports to: Program Manager, Workforce Development
Salary: $50,000-$52,000 per annum plus a competitive benefits package
Location: Vancouver, BC
Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery and Support
• Coordinate new projects and workforce development programs that support the
economic and social integration of immigrants, including online registrations and
system administration.
• Ensure smooth operation of programs, provide troubleshooting support, and liaise
with system developers to resolve issues.
• Coordinate meetings, orientation sessions, and training events, ensuring all logistical
and material needs are prepared.
• Maintain an inventory of communication materials and assist in the collection and
reporting of program statistics and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements, quality standards, and regulatory mandates.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure seamless planning and execution of program
activities.
Training and Development
• Facilitate and support both in-person and online training and orientation sessions for
service delivery providers and employer partners.
• Identify training needs and develop new opportunities to enhance the capacity of all
partners.
• Regularly update training content to maintain effectiveness and relevance.

Connecting Employers to Immigrant Talent

Administrative Responsibilities
• Manage inquiries and manage program-related communications.
• Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems.
• Prepare and edit documents, reports, and correspondences.
• Collaborate with the Manager and team to monitor resource utilization and adjust as
needed to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
• Identify project issues, obstacles, and risks, showcasing your ability to stay ahead of
challenges and promptly implement effective solutions.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges,
optimizing outcomes, and contributing to the project's overall success.
Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans,
progress reports, and meeting minutes.
• Collect and analyze project data to evaluate performance and identify areas for
improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project outcomes, lessons learned, and
recommendations for future projects, allowing you to share valuable insights and
contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and introduce best practices in project
management, making a significant impact on our organization's efficiency and success.
• Support the Manager in project/program evaluations, actively contributing to
organizational learning and knowledge sharing.
• Support the broader goals of the IEC-BC team by contributing to cross-functional projects
and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in program coordination, preferably in a
non-profit environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated experience using project management and digital tools and software.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong initiative.
• Possess a curious nature and embrace a mindset oriented towards continual growth and
development.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• A passion for the mission and values of the non-profit sector, making you a dedicated
advocate for our organization's purpose.
• Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset.
